Welcome Content Creators Everywhere.

Since we launched VideoWildfire in Feb 2008, and more recently Content Buzz, the biggest single problem our customers have faced is coming up with ideas for their content.

I sincerely hope you’ll read this page in its entirety. It’s a fairly long read, but please don’t just skim through it – I don’t want you to miss a single word, because when I de-mystify generating ideas for your Videos and Blogs, you simply cannot fail to get top search engine rankings, more traffic and more backlinks to your offer pages, resulting in more sales and profits.

I’ve loved the Internet since it began…

“Paperback Writer” The Beatles ’66

I have been reading Joel Comm’s new book, “Click Here to Order”, about the history of the Internet and Internet Marketing, and it brought back memories and moments of reflection.

It was obvious at the start that the Internet, or rather the World Wide Web, was going to become an immense resource of knowledge. The problem in those early days was the limitations of the search engines. In the very early days they were only capable of searching the Title of a webpage.

I remember being excited when Webcrawler came out in ’93, and Hotbot in about ’96. These engines were a great advance, but basically only looked at the Title and Description Metadata.

Savvy Search Engine Optimizers could greedily get their content amongst the top listings. More often than not it was sales pitch after sales pitch. Real information was deeply hidden.

Years later Google came along, and their crawlers slowly changed the face of Internet Search.

Up to the middle of 2006, search results were largely text-based. Google then announced Google Universal. This was Google’s vision of the future of search. A unique blend of search results including news, blogs, text, audio and most significantly Video.

They knew that as computer speeds and bandwidth increased, video was destined to become the “killer” app after “email”.

“Get Back” The Beatles ’70

I’ve always loved using the Internet as a Research Tool. I found out early on how best to use the Internet as a Search tool. Over the years I have built up a library of “search term” add-ons to laser focus my search results.

With the advent of the Social Media sites, alternative search platforms arrived to compete with Google. Video Sharing sites, Blog Directories and a host of Knowledge sites now contain a fantastic array of user-generated content to help us find the answers to our problems.

The World Wide Web has become the greatest research tool in history.

“With a Little Help From my Friends” The Beatles ‘67

During the time we’ve been helping our clients distribute their content, I’ve answered many emails sent to our Support department. Here are a few examples:

“For the xxxxxxxxx site, the creation of a library of videos is easy to do (using your suggestions).... I am struggling with content for the xxxxxxxxx site.”

“I am very eager to get started.  Now I have to come up with some content!  Never been in the video production arena before.  Any suggestions you may have are most appreciated. “

“I see the benefits of Video Marketing but how do I come up with ideas for my videos?”

“What’s the best way of coming up with original Blog posts?”

I generally reply with an overview of Content Marketing, and a crash course on using the Internet for research purposes.

After a number of such requests for information – I began thinking!

Our business is marketing software. How could we create something that would make it simple to come up with a constant stream of ideas for their videos and blogs?

I had a germ of an idea to assist all of our clients.

What if we could cross the top “search terms” across the leading “search destinations”?

What if we could help you?

Crash Course on the Benefits of Content Marketing Campaigns

“The Word” The Beatles’65

I would like to emphasize that Video and Content Marketing is an absolutely essential factor in your future success.

As Joe Pulizzi said in his book “Get Content, Get Customers”.

”To get customers today, and to keep them tomorrow, you must develop a content marketing strategy to deliver indispensable information in addition to the products and services you provide.”

If you look at the sales page for John Reese’s Traffic Secrets 2.0:

CD-ROM #5: Content Factory

“On this CD-Rom we'll go over how to set up your 'factory' to be pumping out high-quality, traffic-magnet content on a regular basis. If you want lots of traffic you absolutely must be doing this. In a very short amount of time those that aren't doing this will be left with very little traffic and business. I guarantee it.”

But there is a short learning curve

You need to create:

Content – Content – and More Content!

Content Marketing is THE new way of marketing.

Buyers/information seekers can find everything they need to make informed decisions on the Internet.

Question - Where do most people start their search?

Answer - The top search engines.

You need to get your compelling, interesting and informational content right there.

You need to make the change from a “Marketer’s Mindset” to a “Publishers Mindset”. Buyers want to pick the brains of an “authority” or recognized “expert” within your particular niche. You need to provide genuine information, not just a cloaked sales pitch.

How do you achieve “expert status”? By producing and distributing great content – consistently and widespread. In time, generate strong, lasting, brand relationships, and be recognized as a “thought leader” in your industry.

This content must be promoted in a variety of ways to suit the tastes of the consumer. Text, audio and video must all be involved.

Everybody’s aware of Blog Marketing, Video Marketing and Social Marketing – let’s put it all under the umbrella of “Content Marketing”, to appreciate the variety of content that you can create, and the variety of ways that you can broadcast it.

Find out what works for you and your business, and then do more of it.

Solve somebody’s problem with your content (including some info about you and your Company) and you’ll likely have a new customer and a friend for life. This is Content Marketing in action.

Get content out there that gives your potential customers the information that they need to fulfill their goals, whether personal or business.

Marketers must take advantage of technological changes and improvements, to leverage their marketing strategies and tactics.

What’s With All the Beatles’ Song Titles?

It’s basically a cunningly devious sub-plot furtively intertwined with the main story.

For me the Beatles are a classic case of turning Words into Cash, and producing Content that Sells.

They say that Songwriting is 15% Inspiration and 85% Perspiration. Pretty much the same as Copywriting (For marketers’ purposes Video Scripts, Blogs etc). You need to know how to craft your content, but more importantly you need the spark that ignites the initial thought.

ALL Content Starts with an IDEA.

So where did The Beatles get the ideas and inspiration for their songs?

No doubt they got inspiration by listening to the material of early rockers like Chuck Berry and Little Richard.

It has been well documented that a number of their songs were inspired by newspaper articles.

Paul McCartney apparently was reading the UK’s Daily Mail, and came across an article about a young girl running away from home. He turned the story into “She’s Leaving Home”.

John Lennon wrote “Mean Mr Mustard” and “A Day in the Life” based on other newspaper articles.

“Happiness is a Warm Gun” was the slogan of the National Rifle Association that John Lennon spotted on an Advertising Hoarding.

Adverts, articles and records! Other peoples content!

I wonder how many times the Title came first and the rest followed? Can you do the same with Headlines for your Videos and Blogs?

“Imagine” J.Lennon ‘71

The Beatles were around 30 years before the Internet. Imagine the articles, blogs, videos and podcasts that they could have found for inspiration today?

How many people have used the Beatles for inspiration? Quite a few!

What’s good enough for such creative geniuses as the Beatles is good enough for us. There’s nothing to be ashamed of by getting inspiration from “Here, There and Everywhere” The Beatles ‘66.

I can only surmise at what content Sir Paul McCartney would produce if he had The Content Ideas Factory to play with!

No doubt many of the Beatles’ songs originated in their minds, from their experiences and conversations. If you have the creative ability to generate content ideas out of thin air – Fantastic.

But still give The Content Ideas Factory a go – you’ll soon see how powerful it is!

The World Wide Web has become the greatest source of inspiration in history.
